Personal Care is non-skilled care. These services are generally non-medical related personal care services provided by unlicensed caregivers or CNAs. They are designed to help someone who experiences limitations in performing daily activities. These services are provided by a personal care attendant or a caregiver.
Services may include:
Personal Care Assistance – Anything done for a client that is of a personal nature. This may include personal hygiene like bathing, showering, hair washing, shaving, oral hygiene and nail care.
Homemaking Services – meal preparation, feeding, cleaning dishes
Light Chores – cleaning floors, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, making a bed, laundry
Respite Care – staying with the client so a caregiver can run an errand or just have a break
Case Management – help with money management, coordinate scheduled appointments, etc.
Companionship – Sitting with the client, reading to them, writing a letter for them, etc.
Escort – Accompany the client to an appointment, including transporting them to the appointment.
