Are you a cost accountant with a keen interest in the manufacturing industry? We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Permanent Cost Accountant to join our team. This position is a key role within our financial department and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the overall financial performance and growth of our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, manufacturing accounting, and fixed asset accounting. This role will provide you with the opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cost accounting systems and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis.
  • Manage bill of materials and monitor changes in production costs, raw materials, and manufacturing methods to determine effects on cost.
  • Conduct regular inventory analysis and provide recommendations for inventory control and cost reduction.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process and prepare budget forecasts.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure the accuracy of financial data and the 3-way match process.
  • Analyze and monitor fixed asset accounting, including depreciation, disposals, and additions.
  • Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions to improve profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with financial standards, policies, and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the scientific or manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in cost accounting, manufacturing accounting, bill of materials, fixed asset accounting, monthly reporting, cost reduction, annual budget, 3-way match, inventory, and variance.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
