Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Our client, a nationwide distributor of fresh seafood, has an immediate need for an experienced Shipping & Receiving Clerk, to join their winning team in Middleborough.

Our candidate of choice will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all products that are received and/or shipped out of a specific location during the assigned shift.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with the flow of goods; shipping and receiving of product
• Obtain and process product orders
• Receive, register and distributing packages and letters within the company
• Maintain the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning, and cataloging items
• Assist with large shipments and planning of the logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items
• Keep files of goods shipped and received
• Ensure that the right products are delivered to that right location, on time
• Assist with the assurance that quality, quantity, and customer satisfaction are met
• Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of coolers and warehouse orders
• Tracking and reporting to leadership: back-orders short-list items, and unfulfilled orders

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• 1+ years, experience in a Shipping or Receiving position
• 1+ years, experience operating forklifts
• Experience in food manufacturing; seafood or meat processing a plus
• Fork-Lift Certification required
• Able to operate company inventory equipment (such as scan guns), required
• Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Able to provide support to department managers to achieve goals
• Able to maintain an environment that drives performance and a safe workplace
