Quality Control Rep I

LHH is partnering with a construction firm to fill a Quality Control Representative I in Los Alamos, NM. In this role, you will take a leadership role in implementing the company quality control program and assure conformance to all applicable quality requirements. The best candidate will have experience in Quality Control and mechanical construction, with detailed knowledge of how theories of quality are translated into action. Job Type: Contract to Hire

Compensation: $27-$29/hr

Hours and Location: M-F, 7am-4pm, 40 hours a week; ONSITE in Los Alamos, NM

Responsibilities

· Developing inspection and test plans for the fabrication shop and onsite installation/construction activities

· Overseeing the management of the area measuring and test equipment program (M&TE)

· Managing the development and submittal of all quality control-related project submittals

· Overseeing the implementation of the nonconformance reporting process

· Planning and executing audits and assessments of subcontractors and suppliers

· Participating in quality audits and surveillance of project-related quality-affecting activities

· Developing and providing training on quality control systems

· Interfacing with the Quality Manager to ensure program objectives are being met

 

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen

• Must have at least two years of experience in Quality Control and mechanical construction

• Must be able to certify as a level II ASNT-TC-1A inspector

• Must have detailed knowledge of quality improvements and how the theories of quality are translated into action

• Must be able to work through non-standard problems, analyze the situation, and provide workable solutions

• Must be able to interface with a wide range of internal and external personnel

• Must have a high attention to detail

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Requires local vehicle travel to/from the project sites; must have a clean driving record

Pay Details: $27.00 to $29.00 per hour
