Job Description:

ProCare Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed School Psychologist to join our team in Ithaca, MI. As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students within the school community. This contract position provides an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students while collaborating with educators and other professionals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough psychoeducational assessments to identify students' strengths, challenges, and learning needs.
  2. Interpret assessment results and collaborate with school teams to develop and implement effective academic and behavioral interventions.
  3. Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
  4. Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to the development of appropriate intervention plans.
  5. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create a positive and inclusive school environment.
  6. Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide positive behavior support programs.
  7. Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
  8. Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress.

Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree or higher in School Psychology.
  2. Michigan state licensure as a School Psychologist.
  3. Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
  4. Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
  5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  6. Ability to adapt interventions to meet the unique needs of diverse student populations.
  7. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to school psychology services.
