Howmet Aerospace Inc. ("Howmet") is currently in search of an Business Reporting System Specialist to join the Global Information Systems (GIS) organization at the Howmet Corporate Center in Pittsburgh, PA or Szekesfehervar, Hungary.
In this role you will be responsible for managing the Orbit Reporting + Analytics system as the application owner and administrator. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional departments and our third-party development vendors to ensure there is business alignment on our reporting solution strategies.
Major activities/Key challenges:
- Play a key role in the formulation and implementation of strategies and policies around the maintenance, support, administration, and strategic usage of the reporting solution
- Establish and maintain effective working partnerships across the organization, the user community, and the third party vendor to drive and improve usage of the Orbit Reporting + Analytics tool
- Coordinate the design, development and implementation of data models and reports to advance the organization's reporting strategy, promoting data integrity and quality across different business areas
- Proactively maintain and improve development practices, standards, procedures, and controls (e.g., documentation, development, and testing)
- Document release notes and develop and maintain training materials for business users to encourage and improve user adoption
- Manage work efforts to support system upgrades, patching, deployments, configuration, and technology expansions of the reporting software
- Partner with key stakeholders to evaluate, develop, test, and implement new functionality, business processes, and procedures
Essential knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to interact with customers, vendors, other IT professionals, and management; can communicate technical information effectively across all levels of the organization
- Practices continuous learning, interested in learning and mastering new technologies and techniques to improve processes and systems
- Sound decision making, capable of resolving open items swiftly and efficiently
- Strong aptitude to plan and prioritize own work to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Solid project management and organizational skills including documenting and optimizing processes
- Working knowledge of SQL
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology
- 2+ years prior experience supporting reporting and/or BI tools
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Orbit Analytics is an added advantage.
- Oracle EBS application configuration knowledge
- Experience with Oracle R12 (12.2), Oracle 19c databases, PL/SQL
- General understanding of system architecture
- Exposure or working knowledge of Oracle EBS Financials and Supply Chain modules is a plus.
Salary Range: $100k - $120k/year approximation (actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/org location)
