Production Area Manager

 

Summary: Seeking a Production Area Manager with experience in manufacturing supervision to lead operations and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in an automotive battery plant.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business or engineering discipline preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting, automotive supplier background ideal.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in managing multi-shift operations.

• Demonstrated ability to improve productivity and space utilization.

• Experience with safety and health policy compliance.

• Familiarity with 5S standards for maintaining housekeeping and orderliness.

• Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices.

• Understanding of Quality Systems requirements within manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee manufacture, assembly/distribution of products within budget and quality standards while controlling costs.

• Direct supervision of all shift supervisors, including training and development.

• Implement methods to enhance productivity, space utilization, and product quality.

• Ensure compliance with all safety, health policies, and procedures.

• Manage department blood leads to below target levels.

• Maintain efficient use of hours meeting budget requirements.

• Collaborate with maintenance for equipment efficiency and TPM completions.

• Manage department scrap to below target levels.

• Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

 

Pay Details: $35.00 to $45.00 per hour
