Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized and engaging virtual instruction to students with special needs.
  • Develop and adapt individualized lesson plans and materials that cater to diverse learning abilities.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and fellow educators to create and implement effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Utilize innovative teaching techniques and resources to address individual learning styles and challenges in an online setting.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and track achievements in alignment with IEP goals.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive virtual classroom environment that promotes students' social and academic growth.
  • Stay informed about best practices in special education and employ creative approaches to meet students' needs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Maine teaching certification.
