Civil Design Engineer

Summary: Seeking a Structural/Civil Design Engineer with experience in overhead cranes, bridge design, or structural steel buildings, adept in FEA software and Creo for design and analysis of crane support structures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent engineering field.

• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software and Creo preferred.

• Understanding of structural load calculations such as beams, runways, wheel loads, and crane loads.

• Ability to conduct detailed design calculations for steel and concrete structures.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Capacity to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines and budgets.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience in engineering and project management is advantageous.

• Familiarity with safety policies relevant to Simmers Crane Design & Services, OSHA standards, and customer requirements.

• Technical knowledge including the planning and preparation of material orders and delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Perform calculations for the design and analysis of crane supporting structures and related components.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable design specifications; maintain thorough records.

• Collaborate with sales teams on work proposals; manage projects from initiation to completion.

• Direct supervision over subcontractors and technicians for project fulfillment.

• Maintain punctuality regarding material orders/deliveries aligned with project demands.

• Collecting and interpreting data relevant to the project scope.

• Adherence to safety policies; prepare necessary documentation like invoicing and project closeout reports.

 

Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
