Job Description

Summary: Keeps premises of commercial and institutional buildings in clean and orderly
condition by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may
be assigned.

  • Assist Facility Manger with scheduling
  • Assist with administrative duties
  • Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators,stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
  • Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
  • Lifting chairs and place them over tables (approx. chair weight: 20-25 lbs.)
  • Moving chemicals (5 gal bucketsapprox. weight 40+ lbs.)
  • Moving tables (approx. weight 40+ lbs.)
  • Operates different types of equipment (i.e. burnishers, scrubbers, pressurewasher)
  • Uses ManLift or ScissorLift Machine
  • Washes windows, door panels, and sills

Requirements

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:
Prior experience in janitorial housekeeping preferred

Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, andmemos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively presentinformation in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, andother employees of the organization.

Math Ability:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of Americanmoney and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- ortwo-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with onlyoccasional or no variables.

Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills desired but not required.

Certificates and Licenses:
No certifications needed

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervision of shift responsibility, handling employee issues
