Description
Duties & Responsibilities
Production
* Responsible for picking, inspecting, and packing quality parts into boxes on his/her assigned Thermoforming Line.
* Accurately counting parts to ensure that customers get a consistent, quality product.
* Bagging counted parts and placing into correct box on the assigned production line.
* Assure that each box is properly sealed to minimize the potential for damage.
* Verify proper date codes and labels are on all boxes being put on the skids.
* Keep pace with the speed of the machine and not allow packable parts to fall in the scrap bin or deliberately scrap packable parts.
* Keep up on grinding when machine is down and as time permits.
* Assist Machine Operator when needed.
* Give oncoming shift a good change over as to how the machine ran during the shift.
* Stay around at the end of the shift until the area is completely clean and ready for the oncoming shift.
* Have a minimum of 2 hours worth of boxes, bags, and labels ready for the oncoming shift. These are to be in the packer's staging area.
* Any other duties as assigned by the Leads, or Management.
Safety and Cleanliness
* Maintains a clean and safe work area and reports unsafe conditions to the Operator and/or supervisor for resolution.
* Maintains good housekeeping and makes sure the packing area is kept clean, at all times.
* Adheres to safety policy.
* Must wear hairnet and all safety gear at all times.
Quality
* Meets or exceed minimum standards for quality packaged Finished Goods.
* Reports any quality problems immediately to the Operator.
* If quality of product is unacceptable and the operator is not around the Packer will turn on the notification light switch or alarm near packing area.
Miscellaneous
* Other related job duties as assigned
Physical Demands
* Standing (100% of the day)
* Lifting (no more than 40 lbs)
* Reaching (taking parts off machines 100% of the day)

* Work quickly and efficiently
* Willing to work overtime when needed
