Summary

Under the supervision of the Administrator / Transportation Coordinator:

+ Provides safe and timely transportation of residents and tenants

+ Transports individuals with physical disabilities / wheelchairs and assists these individuals safely in and out of the vehicle and to and from the off-site destination location(s)

+ Receives and delivers confidential information / communications between the care center and community providers

+ Represents and promotes the care center in a positive manner throughout the community and to other health care practitioners

Qualifications / Requirements

+ Must have a current, valid Iowa driver's license of the appropriate classification and with the required endorsements (passenger) for the vehicle to be driven (Class D / Chauffeur's License or Class C / Commercial License)

+ Must pass a motor vehicle record check

+ Must have and maintain an unrestricted license and driving record free of serious violations

+ Excellent customer service and time management skills

+ Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred

+ Per the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exceptions for medical and religious accommodations when reasonable

Shift/Schedule: As Needed

Wage Range: $13.00/hr-$14.00/hr, Negotiable (DOE)

Years of Experience Incentive Pay: $0.10/per year, up to ten (10) years
