Job Description:

This position provides services for pre­ registration, payer authorization, registration services, pre and point of service collections, checking for medical necessity, and financial counseling, referring those patients to appropriate sources for follow up as needed.

A Day in the Role:

·      The Registrar will work from a que using EPIC, registering patients for diagnostic testing.

·       Contact the patients to verify demographics and insurance, make any changes to the insurance, enter in correct plan code based on insurance policy.

·       Check eligibility, provide the patient with the estimate based on services, and attempt to collect from the patient the out-of-pocket expense prior to their visit.

·       The goal is to work 5-7 days ahead of schedule.
