Job Description

  • Balance between ticketing, monitoring a handful of Slack (internal messenger) threads, his team skims through Slack threads looking to see if there is any issues that they can help with or if they get tagged in any issues and responding to those
  • Will be assigned to personal projects when no active issues
  • Database detective work, responding in real time. If they find a problem going through the database and it’s not a quick fix, using SQL and being able to create a project and figuring it out on their own is a must! 
  • Creating projects/tickets to find root cause issues.

 

Experience Needed

  • SQL experience must be expert level & will be prioritized (mastery of joins, aggregate functions, group by statements, using CTEs & wildcards, able to use window functions to construct complex queries)
  • PYTHON experience (will have to be able to plug & play values into a templated sequence, need to be familiar with the pandas library and manipulating data frames)
  • JUPYTER NOTEBOOK experience is a huge plus
  • Advanced experience with Google Sheets/Excel (mastery of VLOOKUPs, nested formulas - formulas within formulas, strong manipulation, index matching)
  • Strong communicators who will present findings and proposed solutions to leadership clearly; Process-oriented
  • Ability to ask good questions is crucial, as well as investigating to find solutions
  • Must be able to work independently and communicate proactively, able to not be “hand held”
  • Need to be extremely tech-savvy & excited about new technology! Need to be flexible with constant changes!
  • Analytical & critical thinking skills- root cause analysis (why did it happen and how do I fix it, and how do I share it), creative problem solving, dashboarding
