The Aviation, Integration, Maintenance, Safety, & Sustainment (AIMSS) Branch in support of the Airborne Solutions Group of Leidos currently has an opening for a Logistics & Tool Room Lead for Hangar 1 in support of the HR3DGI Program. Leidos is the Product Support Management and Logistics Lead for manned and unmanned aerial intelligence platforms located in various CONUS and OCONUS operational areas and depots. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Leidos AIMSS Branch.

What’s in it for you?

The Logistics & Tool Room Lead (L&TRL) for Hangar 1 is responsible for managing all supply & tool transactions for Hangar 1 at the Manassas airfield. L&TRL will coordinate and track to completion supply actions to receive, store, distribute, and maintain calibration of equipment and material at Hangar 1 used for contract performance. The L&TRL will set up a secured tool & supply area in Hangar 1 and develop workflows to accurately document receipt, storage, and distribution of supply and tools to maintenance personnel in support of daily maintenance operations. L&TRL will manage the calibration program for Hangar 1 calibrated tools and test/measurement devices. L&TRL will coordinate with maintenance and operations staff to ensure maintenance actions are not impacted by administrative or logistics delays. L&TRL will interface with program LNO for purchasing objectives, Local Logistics team for movement and transportation objectives, and Maintenance team members to ensure supply response to all emerging requirements at Hangar 1.

THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)

  • Plan layout and material needs for secured storage area within Hangar 1, order material needed for supply/tool room storage area.

  • Receive material needed for secured storage area and organize team to set up area with equipment racks, storage bins, secured cabinets, HAZMAT lockers, and other facility needs for an optimized tool room & parts distribution counter.

  • Label and organize all storage areas & optimize workflows to enable use of equipment scanners to automate distribution workflows and signing tools in/out of the tool/supply area.

  • Respond to requests for material by submitting Requisitions to appropriate program LNO when supplies are unavailable at Hangar 1.

  • Coordinate with Warehouse Team to request movement of supply/parts from Warehouse to Hangar 1 supply area for replenishment or emerging requirements.

  • Work with LMMIS database specialist to establish workflows for parts and tool issuance to maintenance teams.

  • Coordinate with Tool & Calibration lead to ensure tools in supply/tool area are fully calibrated and ready for use.

  • Coordinate with Logistics managers for surge support coverage such as weekend coverage or hangar 1 tool/supply area coverage during planned leave events.

  • Responsible for vendor receipts of drop shipped equipment/material ensuring data records are created in LMMIS in a timely manner and vendor receipt is adequate to enable procurement team to complete a goods receipt.

  • Responsible for cyclic physical inventory efforts in Hangar 1 Tool/Supply area.

  • Responsible for ordering supplies and equipment needed to support tool/supply area task objectives, tracking minimum quantities of consumables/expendables, and proactively placing orders of commonly used supply.

  • Other logistics duties as assigned in response to contractual reporting or mission requirements.

WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)

  • Bachelor Degree with minimum of four (4) years of applicable experience or (6-8) years of equivalent experience may be considered.

  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills

  • Familiar with Army transportation and transfer documentation

  • Familiar with Electronic Inventory Management Systems (IMS)

  • Ability to monitor and manage the supply levels and distribution for aircraft and multiple mission systems.

  • Ability to work Saturday and Sunday once per month.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

  • Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor Degree with eight (8) years of Logistics Management experience or (12) years of equivalent Logistics Management experience

  • Excellent presentation skills for program management and integrated product team meetings

  • Professional writing experience

Pay Range:Pay Range $61,750.00 - $111,625.00
