Dietitian Nutritionist I

Unit Description:

Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a part time (16 hours/week) position at New England Baptist Hospital, located in the Longwood Medical and Academic Area in Boston, MA. This 125-bed hospital specializes in orthopedic care for adults and is part of the Beth Israel Lahey Health System. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to develop their clinical and management skills as part of a supportive team. The budgeted wage for this position is $30-33/hr.

Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the successful candidate will:

 

• provide exceptional nutrition care to patients on inpatient units;  
• work every 3rd Saturday and rotating holidays providing hospital-wide coverage;
• participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects as assigned;
• be knowledgeable of the Nutrition Care Process; and
• efficiently and effectively organize clinical nutrition and patient care responsibilities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)  (Note: For those seeking registration after 2023, this must be a master’s degree)

 

 

Credentials Requirement:

• Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
