Job Description

The Interior Designer position is works closely with the Interior Design Director/Project Managers on all interior design components on projects during all phases beginning with concept through construction administration.

Role:

· Assist the Director and or Project Manager with all interior design projects from concept through construction administration in developing inventive and cost-effective design solutions. Participate in all phases of projects and their management as needed.

· Participate in sourcing architectural and interior finishes, FF&E items, and other specifications.

· Serve as point of contact for all clients, consultants, procurement vendors, furniture dealers, product reps, fabricators, and public agencies to meet project objectives.

· Evaluate and implement building/accessibility codes and programming analysis information.

· Coordinate with technical team and consultants to complete construction documents as required.

· Develop project goals and plan layouts; prepare information regarding design, specifications, FF+E materials, colors, equipment, estimated costs and budgets.

· Develop space planning concepts and creation of program documents.

· Identify issues, risks and conflicts and asks for assistance in a timely and constructive manner.

You:
· Degree in Interior Architecture/Design from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.

· NCIDQ and LEED AP strongly preferred.

· Demonstrate substantial knowledge of Architecture, building systems and construction.

· 6+ years of experience in a professional office setting, including broad experience in various project types and phases preferred, including multi-family residential, hospitality, mixed-use, student housing, office, and luxury hi-rise.

· Current knowledge of design industry trends.

· Working knowledge of FF+E sourcing/budgeting including vendors, dealers, and local product reps.

· Technical detailing & construction administration is essential to this role.

· Strong listening, oral/verbal and written communication, time management and organizational skills required.

· Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Microsoft Office. Experience with Designer Pages Pro a plus.

· Candidates with existing Work Authorization only.
