Adventure Tours is adding an Operations Manager to our team for the new Long Island office. This role reports to the Vice President and is key for establishing and managing our daily operations. The ideal candidate will be a leader ready to build our presence from the ground up, promoting growth and a strong team culture.
Requirements:
- Good analytical and communication skills.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Knowledgeable in organizational effectiveness and operations management.
- Leadership ability with experience in managing interactions.
- Self-motivated with the ability to organize and prioritize.
- Experience in operations management or similar roles.
- Computer savvy.
- CDL B license with Passenger and Airbrake endorsements preferred.
- Knowledge of the local area for effective scheduling and operations.
- Able to schedule buses and drivers using company software.
- Experience in transportation/tourism and customer service beneficial.
- Ability to negotiate and influence.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the start-up and operations of the Long Island office.
- Staff recruitment, training, and management.
- Strategic and operational planning.
- Quality control and monitoring of performance indicators.
- Compliance with regulatory standards and SOP management.
- Vehicle safety and maintenance oversight.
- Continuous improvement of operations.
- Liaison for passengers, clients, and partners.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
