Landmarc Abstract is a leading real estate title company specializing in providing accurate and reliable title services to clients in the real estate industry. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Real Estate Title Clerk/Legal Assistant.

As a Real Estate Title Clerk/Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the smooth and efficient functioning of our title department. You will be responsible for conducting title searches, preparing title commitments, assisting with legal research, and providing support to the real estate attorneys.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess excellent organizational skills. Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and exceptional communication skills are also essential to succeed in this role. Responsibilities
  • Conducting title searches and examinations to ensure the accuracy of property records and identify any potential issues
  • Preparing title commitments, abstracts, and other relevant documents required for real estate transactions
  • Assisting real estate attorneys with legal research, drafting legal documents, and preparing for closings
  • Maintaining and updating electronic and physical filing systems to ensure easy access to relevant documents
  • Communicating and coordinating with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other professionals involved in the closing process
  • Reviewing real estate contracts and documents to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies
  • Assisting with post-closing activities, such as preparing closing packages, recording documents, and disbursing funds

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a real estate or legal environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
