We are looking for a professional, high energy bartender with excellent communication skills to serve classical and exciting new beverages to our customers. Interact with our customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, upsell items, create recipes, and handle basic cleaning duties.

There are currently three venues here at the resort; 1936 Bar & Grill, Rod N Reel Restaurant and the Boardwalk Café.

To succeed as a bartender here at the resort you should have a neat appearance and and engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable and personable.

Requirements:Requirements
  • TIPS certification required. If you are not TIPS certified, the certification course is offered at the resort for a minimal charge.
  • Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks for guests and the service bar.
  • Serve wine and other draught or bottled beer.
  • Able to handle money transactions.
  • Order and requisition liquors and supplies.
  • Place bottled goods and glasses to make an attractive display.
  • Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
  • Replenish supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes in bar area.
  • Notify a manager immediately of any guest complaints.
  • Use proper etiquette guidelines with guests.
  • Practice and observe all safety rules and procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Understands and communicates the Resort Mission.
  • Expresses ideas and conveys information clearly, effectively, and professionally.
  • Actively listens to others.
  • Conveys company information, decision, or problems to appropriate parties on a timely basis.
  • Works to resolve disagreements and is respectful of peers and co-workers.
  • Prior bartending experience required.
  • High school education or above preferred.
  • Minimum lifting of 20 pounds.
  • Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
  • Hearing, writing, typing.
  • Minimum pulling of 20 pounds.
