This is a hourly Position.

The Room Attendant will report directly to the Housekeeping Inspector and Housekeeping Supervisor

Specific Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Meets and exceeds customer and team expectations. Provides value added service to customers by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed customer expectations. Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors. Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed. Performs other duties as required to provide excellent service.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction by cleaning customer units daily according to operational policies and standards. Removes soiled bed and bath linens and replaces with clean linens as required. Removes accumulated trash and debris from units as required. Clean bathroom area. Dust all surfaces. Replenish unit amenities. Vacuum unit as required and clean and mop the floor. Clean kitchen area. Clean patio area. Reports unusual circumstances to Housekeeping Inspector/Housekeeping Supervisor. Reports maintenance requests to Housekeeping Inspector/Housekeeping Supervisor Turn in articles left in units to Front Desk for “lost and found” handling. Leaves all customer belongings in stay over units unless they have been discarded in the trash.
  • Maximizes job efficiency and neat, orderly appearance by maintaining supply cart and vacuum cleaner. Stock supply cart correctly. Place cart and vacuum cleaner in the closet. Replaces and/or empties vacuum cleaner bag daily. Clean cart and vacuum cleaner on a regular basis.
  • Ensures quality and quantity of the contents of the linen closet by organizing and cleaning it. Check stocks daily. Notifies Housekeeping Inspector/Housekeeping Supervisor immediately if any stock shortages exist. Pulls any damaged or rewash linen and return them to the Laundry.
  • Ensures safety and maximum security. Secure the locks on linen closets and linen chute doors-please remove. Reports all “Do not disturb” or bolted door units to Housekeeping Inspector/Housekeeping Supervisor at the specified time.

  • Always maintain a professional and high-quality service-oriented environment, ensuring that employees are, always, attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and other employees.

  • Maintains working relationships and communicates with all departments.
  • Verifies that accurate room status information is maintained and properly communicated.
  • Resolves guest problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously.
  • Check accommodations, making sure any special requests are carried out accordingly.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management
  • Clean and maintain work areas.
  • Other duties as assigned by management and deem necessary for the successful operation of the resort.

Position Requirements (Skills/Abilities):

This position is responsible for ensuring that all assigned units/rooms are clean according to gold crown resort standards.

Experience:

One year experience in Hospitality or related industry.

Education: High School diploma or GED required. or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

The employee is required to use his/her hands and fingers to feel, and reach for objects of various sizes, shapes and weight. The employee will occasionally be required to climb a step ladder or balance and, to talk, hear and/or smell.

The employee must regularly push, pull, lift and/or move up to 10-25 lbs. And occasionally push, pull, lift and/or move 50 or more pounds with assistance. Specific Vision abilities required for this job include Close vision, Distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus in various settings. Good Customer Service skills are a must.

This position is highly visible in all resort areas, team members must present a clean professional appearance and must adhered to Daily Management, Inc., Local Standard Operating Procedures – Standards of Appearance.
