RN or LPN Nurse Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise clinical staff and clinical support services in both our Waynesboro and Verona offices
• Work closely with the lead nurse in each location
• Create and coordinate schedules for clinical staff in both offices.
• Coordinate policies and practices to maintain compliance with OSHA
• Coordinate participation with the Virginia Vaccines for Children program.
• Though supervisory in nature, the position will regularly still include clinical responsibilities in a pediatric outpatient setting, including:
  • Administering medications as ordered and report adverse reactions to medications or treatments
  • Communicating openly and effectively with patients and families, while demonstrating compassion and friendly behavior
  • Ensure that supplies, medications, and equipment are restocked and maintained so that they are ready to use
  • Phone Triage

Qualifications 

BSN, RN or LPN required

Clinical Management experience preferred

• Must be a graduate of an accredited BSN, RN or LPN nursing program
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal with staff, patients and family in a respectful, warm way
• Must be able to work together as a team with the practice administrator and managing partner to collaborate on strategies and problem solving
• Must demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills
• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Must demonstrate resilience in emotionally difficult situations
• Must have proficient computer skills

Hours are Monday – Friday 8 - 5:00, One Saturday a month 8:30 am – 12:00 pm (Paid double-time for Saturdays)
