Position Title: Seasonal Pool Attendant

Resort and Location: The Grandview at Las Vegas

Department: Front Office

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Front Desk Manager/MOD

Position Summary:

The Pool Attendant will report directly to Front Desk Manager/MOD.

Core responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

This position is primarily responsible for cleaning and maintaining the pool areas. Pool Attendants are in direct contact with guests daily and must maintain a strong hospitality centric spirit in accordance with DMI values. Pool attendants are responsible for maintaining order and providing a safe environment for guests in the pool area

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the pool area and maintain inventory of all poolside equipment for guests
  • Sets up chairs and umbrellas
  • Skims pools
  • Cleans and maintains pool equipment and pool area
  • Checks for any damage to pool equipment and reports said damage to Supervisor
  • Removes any broken or damaged pool furniture
  • Distributes towels to guests
  • Maintains a friendly, professional, cheerful and courteous demeanor always
  • Always Ensures Outstanding customer care
  • Checks the chemical controls and reports any discrepancies to Supervisor
  • Ensures daily log is complete
  • Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Position Requirements (Skills/Abilities):

Experience:

One year of hospitality-related experience or pool attendant/lifeguard experience is desired. Timeshare or Resort experience highly desirable. Must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; communicate effectively at all levels; and demonstrate the ability to analyze and resolve problems. Bilingual skills a plus.

Education: High School diploma or GED required.

Flexible Scheduling: Must be able to work Evenings, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.

This position is highly visible in all resort areas, team members must present a clean professional appearance and must adhered to Daily Management, Inc., Local Standard Operating Procedures-Standards of Appearance.
