Job Description

The Waterpark Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient management of aquatic operations and programs, maintenance and upkeep of the swimming pool facility, and supervision of aquatics staff. Guests can feel safe and enjoy a worry-free adventure at our waterpark under the leadership of the Aquatics Manager and their team.

As a Waterpark Supervisor, you will: 

  • Be responsible leadership of staff members, including recruiting, hiring, training, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels for the department.
  • Conduct classes, training and in service training for Aquatics staff.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor programming and schedules for waterpark operation.
  • Clearly describe and assign responsibility and authority for the operation of the department.
  • Oversee general maintenance and upkeep of the waterpark facility.
  • Direct the implementation of department policies and procedures.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis, planning, and implementation of utilization data and other inputs.
  • Develop detailed, realistic, and comprehensive plans that support organizational objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, using tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information, and resolve conflict.
  • Perform supervisory tasks of a team, including resolving conflict, coaching, and developing others, promoting teamwork, and performance management.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings with department heads, supervisors & managers.
  • Maintain records of Waterpark inventory and prepare them in accordance with CFI and Westgate accounting departments.
  • Remain updated on Waterpark facilities to meet appropriate safety standards.
  • Prepare, design, order, and distribute marketing material for Waterpark.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director of Waterpark & Activities.
  • Serve as speaker/host at resort functions when called upon.
  • Purchase and pick up Waterpark equipment when necessary.
  • Supervises and analyzes Waterpark needs and resources
  • Cooperates with recreation and non-recreation personnel.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, you must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Additionally, the person must possess and adhere to the following core values:

Requirements

  • Must be American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED Certified and provide valid certifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak effectively with guests and other team members
  • Strong ability to recognize unsafe and hazardous situations and react properly
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
  • Must be at least 18 and have a valid driver’s license to drive company golf carts
