Moore Home Services is one of the largest and most respected plumbing and HVAC companies in Northern California.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of residential plumbing concepts. The successful candidate must be able to work efficiently with great attention to detail, should have exceptional multi-tasking skills and be organized and able to perform in a fast-paced environment. This is an hourly, nonexempt, at-will position. Must be available to work full shifts plus overtime and weekends.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cutting, assembling and installing pipes and fittings with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring, finish and trim).
  • Troubleshoot to locate and repair pipe and pipeline systems using various methods.
  • Able to diagnose leaks of an unknown source (up to down leaks).
  • Able to perform drain cleaning, using various drain equipment.
  • Use a variety of plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, augers etc.).
  • Interpret blueprints and building codes to determine optimal work procedures.
  • Analyze problems and identify appropriate tools and materials for repair.
  • Prepare written work cost estimates for clients.
  • Document service performed and recommendations made by completing applicable forms, reports, logs, and/or records on an iPad, using the Service Titan app.
  • Demonstrate respect and compassion when communicating with clients on work performed and on recommendations for repairs or replacement.
  • Complete all tasks in accordance with Moore Home Services quality and safety standards.
  • Meet sales goals and metrics.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 - 4 years of previous plumbing experience.
  • Solid understanding of basic plumbing concepts, water distribution, and disposal systems in residential buildings.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to handle physical workload.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, friendly and personable.
  • Excel within a team environment and willing to support all areas of our business.
  • Must be willing to undergo a thorough background check, drug screen and physical.
  • Valid driver's license, with minimal DMV infractions.


WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT

  • Work is performed in residential properties (attic, garage, crawl space, roof)
  • Frequent standing, squatting, sitting and crawling for extended periods of time
  • Moderate exposure to physical risk
  • Occasionally required to move 75lbs
