Bartender

Our busy restaurant is looking for a bartender with a positive attitude who can provide excellent customer service for our patrons to have a great time at our bar. You will be in charge of taking customer orders, mixing a variety of traditional and creative cocktails, making beer and wine recommendations, and keeping the bar area clean and sanitary at all times. This position requires an energetic person with excellent organizational skills and a customer-first attitude. $15.50 - $16 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for inventory, ordering and stocking of all wine, liquor, and beer. Maintains an inventory of glassware and promptly communicates any shortages to management.
• Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed
• Check customers age by verifying identification cards and serve alcoholic beverages to patrons per federal, state, local, and company laws and regulations
• Receive payments and settle patron checks and tabs, as well as correctly record daily sales totals in point of sale system
• Take patron orders and deliver a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including wine, beer, liquor, and mixed drinks

Qualifications:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification (GED)
• This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the patron first and providing exceptional customer service
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers
• Prior food service industry experience is highly desired
• Possesses strong, organizational and time management skills

• 6 months or more of previous bar experience. Serving experience is a plus as well
