Mechanic

Stepp's Auto Salvage is looking for a few good mechanics at our San Antonio, FL salvage yard.   We are seeking candidates that possess a positive attitude, customer service skills, problem-solving abilities, and possesses professional Automotive experience and tools.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate must be able to do the following:

• Remove parts and assemblies from vehicles with safety, quality and productivity, in mind always.
  
• Inspect, clean, label and tag parts to be sold, delivered, shipped, or placed into stock.
• Work with others in a team environment to achieve individual and team goals.
• Other duties as assigned. 

Physical Requirements for the Position Include:

• Lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, bending and reaching, climbing, strength and stamina, ability to work in typical Florida weather conditions.
  

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license and/or reliable means of transportation.
• Must have hands-on automotive or like industry experience and tools.
• Basic understanding of environmental safety.
• Knowledge or the ability to learn how to use Car lifts, Heavy Forklifts, Car crushers, mini excavators and skid steers.
• The ability to learn processes, procedures and regulations through various methods. Examples are hands on training and online courses.
• Must be able to pass background check /drug test.
• Possess great Customer Service/Communication Skills.

Schedule:

• Monday- Friday 8am-5pm (Full Time Schedule)

Pay:

• Pay is commensurate with prior experience. Monthly bonus included based on monthly sales met.
