Registered Nurse RN PACU

Jaz Staffing Agency is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). As a PACU Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients recovering from anesthesia. Your expertise and attention to detail will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients during their recovery process.

```Responsibilities```
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their condition post-surgery
- Administer medications and manage pain levels
- Collaborate with the surgical team to develop individualized patient care plans
- Assist with patient transfers to and from the PACU
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment

```Experience```
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a PACU or similar setting
- Proficient in acute pain management techniques
- Experience working with patients undergoing ophthalmic procedures is preferred
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Competent in performing physical examinations and collaborating with doctors
- Knowledge of airway management techniques
- Experience in primary care or critical care settings is beneficial
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems such as CT preferred
