Position Summary:


PACT Recovery Coaches are responsible for providing one-on-one recovery mentoring and engagement with clients identified as IDDT clients. As members of the IDDT team, Recovery Coaches provide recovery support for clients in the evening and weekend hours and report directly to the IDDT Director. They typically do not attend daily report meetings, but can be invited by the teams to various clinical meetings and are responsible for keeping close communication with the client's primary and/or IDDT clinician to ensure collaboration and alignment with the goals and philosophy of the team and client.


This is an "up to" 20 hours per week position.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Promote recovery and support all pathways of recovery
  • Provide supportive coaching to clients to facilitate the promotion of recovery knowledge and understanding.
  • Assist in removing accessibility barriers to recovery resources.
  • Introduce client to the appropriate self-help supports in the community
  • Escort clients to recovery support meetings.
  • Maintain accurate written documentation of client interactions.
  • Pass on documentation of client interactions to the direct supervisor.
  • Demonstrate skills and knowledge in crisis intervention pertaining to chemical dependency.
  • Adhere to all HIPPA and all federal client privacy regulations.
  • Participate in any training opportunities pertinent to the job.
  • Participate in weekly recovery coaching supervision with the possibility of group supervision when necessary.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to walk, sit, drive a vehicle, use hands to type, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, bend, walk up and downstairs, talk, hear, and see.
  • Work Environment: Most work is performed outside of the office setting


Requirements:

Qualifications Required:

  • Must be a person with long-term addiction recovery and substantial experience working with issues involving addictions
  • Must abide by a code of ethics and practice standards, and be committed to a process of lifetime knowledge and skills development
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills
  • Must have skills and competencies to establish supportive trusting relationships with clients who are diagnosed across the spectrum of addictive processes
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours in the evenings and weekends
  • Must have a valid driver's license, dependable automobile, and a clean drivers record

Qualifications Desired:

  • Licensed or certification to work in the addictions field
  • Previous experience working with clients with addictions/psychiatric disorders
  • Good understanding of the IDDT model
  • Good understanding of the PACT model



Compensation details: 22-26 Hourly Wage
