Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Patient Transporter, your primary responsibility is to move patients from their rooms to various locations within the hospital. Along the way, you should ensure they are comfortable and provide them with friendly companionship. To be successful in this role, you should have good physical stamina and excellent time-management skills. Top candidates will also be great communicators who can uplift patients merely with their presence.

Shift Details

Two Scheduling Options

Option 1

Full-Time employee will work three 8-hour weekday shifts and 8-hour shifts on both Saturday and Sunday
  • Evening Shift - 12:00pm - 8:00pm
Option 2

Full-Time employee will work two 8-hour weekday shifts and two 12-hour shifts on both Saturday and Sunday
  • Monday -Friday
  • Evening Shift - 12:00pm - 8:00pm
  • Saturday and Sunday
  • 8:00am - 8:00pm
Position Overview
  • Receive and transport patients and visitors in a safe and timely manner to their designated destination.
  • Document requests for services to provide an accurate and timely tracking system.
  • Maintain wheelchairs, stretchers, hospital beds, and all other equipment used in clean and sanitary condition as well as in proper working order.
  • Transport equipment or other necessary items from one area of the hospital to another as needed.
  • Attend medical facility training as required.
  • Safely and physically able to effectively handle and maneuver equipment and/or patients throughout the site as needed.
  • May assist with clerical work in the department on occasion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
  • At least 19 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of experience in patient care within a hospital environment is preferred.
  • Minimum of one to two years in a professional work environment required.
  • Authorized to work for any employer within the United States
  • Ability to pass all onboarding screening processes, including all healthcare facility's pre-assignments and medical requirements.
  • With professionalism, integrity, and compassion, you support your team and together represent Onsight Healthcare throughout the facility.
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to adequately operate apps/technology on a tablet and learn new software that may have to be applied to the daily tasks for this role.
  • Safely and physically able to effectively handle and maneuver equipment and/or patients throughout the site as needed.
  • This role will require continuous physical engagement including walking, standing, and ambulating of patients.
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with hospital staff, patients, guests, and your team members.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
