Our client is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Madison, GA. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for all maintenance activities, including equipment safety, maximizing machine productivity and uptime, as well as the condition and upkeep of the facility. This is a 3rd shift, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, direct-hire opportunity.
This position plays a key role in support, maintaining, and improving processes associated with the computerized maintenance management system for process reliability.

Required Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree, diploma, or technical certificates in related field, OR
- 2 – 5+ years of experience in a combination of plant, building, or equipment maintenance
- 1 – 2+ years of demonstrated hands on experience and working knowledge with Industrial Mechanical Systems and Controls, Industrial Electrical Systems and Controls, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- History of meeting daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines
- Strong team player
- Demonstrated communication skills and be able to prioritize complex tasks and problem solve
- Computer literate – experience in Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word, specifically)
- Flexible schedule to provide coverage for all shifts, as necessary
- 3 – 5+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment
- Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance/process reliability efforts
- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment (both mechanical and electrical systems)
- Diagnose and repair equipment and facility malfunctions and faults
- Use technical expertise to identify solutions to equipment related problems and improvement opportunities
- Assist production personnel with non-routine problems with the operation of equipment
- Work in conjunction with Project Engineers to provide support for capital improvement projects as necessary
- Work closely with ISO Coordinator and standard bodies (i.e., ISO-9001, ISO-14001) to ensure continuous compliance with ISO standards and requirements
- Ability to work in an efficient and timely manner, multitasking where necessary
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts; fumes, airborne particles and chemicals
- Extreme heat and loud noise level in some areas of the facility
- Ability to stand, push, pull, and reach for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds
- Ability to maneuver around an array of machinery
- Use hands and fingers to feel or handle
- Color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to perform duties which requires continual standing, bending, squatting, and climbing
- Able to wear half mask respirator, safety glasses, and other assigned PPE for the duration of the shift
