ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
GENERAL:
  1. MAINTENANCE
  • Interview, hire and coordinates staffing and labor requirements. Supports proper cross training of personnel within the department. Assigns task, project work and preventive and predictive maintenance utilizing computer maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Supports plant leadership with staff coordinating for special projects and other initiatives as assigned.
  • Plans, schedules, directs, and supervises daily activities of maintenance department.
  • Maintains an effective preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduled downtime and keep plant operating at maximum efficiency.
  • Handles major repairs as needed in an economical manner.
  • Accounts for maintenance department costs including effective use of man-hours, skills, machines, equipment, and facilities.
  • Performs hands-on maintenance duties as needed.
  • Makes timely purchases of maintenance materials, parts, supplies, and equipment at the most competitive price.
  • Maintains records of services performed, labor, materials, and inventories on hand.
  1. SAFETY AND ADMINISTRATION
  • Responsible for the safety, cleanliness and organization of the maintenance department. Initiates regular communications with shift supervisors regarding safety concerns related to machines, mobile equipment, etc.
  • Report and resolve items regarding safety regulations and standards.
  • Supports plant safety training that could include preparation and conducting monthly safety meetings.
  • Establishes personal goals and works with fellow employees towards continuous improvement and teamwork.
  • Responsible for safety, cleanliness, and organization of maintenance department.
  • Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules
  • Promotes safety and safe working habits on a daily basis.
  • Communicates with supervisor and other maintenance personnel.
  • Coordinates and administers company policies as they relate to the maintenance department.
  • Conducts tests and reports items regarding insurance qualifications to meet safety regulations and standards.
  • Attends and participates in monthly safety meetings.
  • Establishes personal goals and works with fellow employees towards continuous improvement and teamwork
  1. QUALITY:
  • Maintains and verifies that all current quality assurance measures are being followed and communicated to supervisors, production employees, truck drivers, office personnel, and customers.
  • Assists in the design and implementation of new procedures as needed.
  • Secondary duties: Support the General Manager with other initiatives as assigned.
  1. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Expected to lift, push, pull, and carry weights in excess of 60 lbs.
  • Position requires the ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, kneel and squat for extended periods.
  • Must have the ability to climb ladders, stairs as well as being comfortable working in confined spaces at various heights including the tallest structures in the facility, approximately 150' high.
  1. QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • PLC programming and troubleshooting is preferred.
EXPERIENCE
5 years of industrial maintenance experience (manufacturing).

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
