Banquet and Event Chef

My client is a highly reputable, and award-winning banquet and event venue, looking to add an experienced Chef to their team!

JOB DUTIES:

• Assisting with the menu development
• Assist with hiring, training, managing and mentoring staff.
• Overseeing food inventory and assisting with ordering inventory based off needs and upcoming events.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
• Comply with all policies and procedures from management, executive chef, and state rules/regulations.
• Direct and assist coworkers with prep, plating, delivery and creation of meals.
• Identify, introduce, and train staff in new culinary techniques.
• Work closely and communicate with all other departments to ensure each event runs smoothly.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5 years of culinary experience (required)
• A la carte experience is required, but high-volume experience is a huge plus
• Valid ServSafe Certification
• Detail Oriented
• Proficient in cooking techniques
• Available to work nights, weekends, holidays and
