Company DescriptionHealthCare Support is actively seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to fill an opening with a well-known Hospital in Abilene, TX.
Daily Responsibilities for CV Sonographer:
- Performs diagnostic cardiovascular examinations per physician orders and according to department protocols.
- Generates preliminary reports for physician interpretation. Charts and charges procedures electronically.
- Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Effectively interacts with patient and significant others, while maintaining professional standards.
- Interacts with Cardiologists and referring physicians according to applicable departmental policies regarding critical findings.
- Interacts with team leaders and managers to discuss significant findings, clinical situations, workflow status and equipment malfunctions.
- Often works without direct supervision and must have outstanding work ethics and integrity.
Required Qualifications for CV Sonographer:
- RDCS or RCS in adult echo or RVT or RVS in vascular ultrasound (completed within 1 year of hire date)
- Must be registered in either Adult Cardiac or Vascular Sonography by ARDMS or CCI.
- Must acquire CMEs as required by professional registries and by national lab accreditation.
