Job Title: Data Infrastructure Engineer

Overview:
We are a leading asset management firm specializing in fundamental valuation-based portfolios for financial intermediaries and institutions. We're seeking a Data Infrastructure Engineer (DE) to oversee the management, maintenance, and monitoring of our technology-based systems and associated infrastructure. This role requires a strong focus on end-user support, providing high-quality service to various client types. The position offers entrepreneurial opportunities with potential for advancement based on performance. The DE will collaborate with internal teams and external IT service providers, influencing strategic decisions regarding the tech stack.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain data infrastructure systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Provide enterprise application and technical support to end users, both in-person and remotely.
  • Resolve support requests independently or in collaboration with external IT service providers.
  • Identify and rectify issues with hardware, software, services, and applications.
  • Offer reactive and proactive support to business units, addressing critical issues.
  • Deliver measurable results on time-sensitive topics.
  • Monitor and maintain infrastructure, including configuration, patching, and automation.
  • Ensure overall system uptime, availability, reliability, and security.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors and IT providers for specific requirements.
  • Document, track, and enforce IT policies and procedures.
  • Manage enterprise IT projects effectively.
Qualifications:
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change.
  • Strong desire to learn and share knowledge effectively.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and SQL database management.
  • System administration experience is essential.
  • Proficiency with Windows OS, MSFT Azure Cloud, and Active Directory Management.
  • Familiarity with Azure Cloud infrastructure, virtual servers, and application management.
  • Solid understanding of networking hardware/software and LAN/WAN.
  • Experience with remote desktop applications and MSP support software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a relevant field.
  • Highly organized with excellent multitasking abilities.
Location: Clayton, MO. 80% in-office role.
