Eastridge Workforce Solutions is looking to hire a 1st shift Production Clerk. Our Carlsbad, CA client designs, develops and markets medical devices that serve patients, clinicians, and sales distribution partners. This opportunity offers a Mon – Fri, 730am – 4pm. Summary

This person will be responsible for multiple activities, primarily hands-on production. Other

responsibilities include shipping and receiving, and order entry into QuickBooks. The

ideal candidate must focused energetic and willing to work with minimal supervision.

Attention to detail is a must. Much of this work will be routine hands-on production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Carry out standard operating procedures involving materials measurement, materials handling and inventory control, equipment operation and record keeping necessary to manufacture product batches as instructed.
  • Record keeping includes but is not limited to Batch Data Records and work order documents. Maintain accurate inventory of products and inventory records using the Materials Resource Planning tools (i.e. issuing materials to work orders, completing products to inventory, kitting, closing, transfers, returns, expensing of raw materials, WIP and finished product).
  • Complete production and quality analysis of components and finished products in accordance With the Manufacturing process of medical devices, including assembly, testing, packaging, and labeling, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality standards.
  • Communicate manufacturing problems to Management and assist in identifying variables and offering resolutions.
  • Keep Management informed on the status of assigned production processes.
  • Complete all batch data records completely, according to Quality Systems standards as required. May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
  • Good oral and written communication skills are required to communicate work status and problems.
  • Effectiveness in this role requires a functional knowledge of applicable manufacturing process and Standard Operating Procedures and the ability to consistently and accurately follow procedures.
  • The job encounters semi-routine work situations of limited scope and complexity where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
  • Accuracy is required in performing all functions of this position; errors in work could cause delays in schedules.
  • Will work with temporary employees. Must be able to train temporary employees on techniques and processes, communicate clear instructions, oversee their work, and verify that the work has been completed to specification.
  • Receive items by unloading vehicles, accept deliveries, unpack containers.
  • Verify items received by inspecting condition of items; compare count/measure of item to purchase order; noting any discrepancies.
  • Perform incoming inspection on received items for compliance to specification.
  • Complete QA Inspection Records, and receive items into stock.
  • Provide Management any rejected items for disposition.
  • Clean warehouse and offices according to the House Keeping SOP. Keep warehouse and Production Area neat and organized at all times in order to maximize efficiency.
  • Receive customer purchase orders (P.O.), enter sales orders (S.O.), print pick lists, pull products to fulfill P.O.’s, pack product, print pack lists and invoices, enter shipping information into UPS, and print UPS labels.
  • Other activities, as capabilities allow, could include:
  • QA - create/revise documentation, such as component specification forms (CSF), label approval forms, and document change orders (DCO).
  • Answering customer service calls.
  • Interfacing directly with VP of Sales who works remotely.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have production experience or similar skills indicating their ability to conduct these activities efficiently.

Education/Experience:

  • High school graduate is a minimum. A college degree or currently attending college with some related experience would be a plus.
  • Medical Device manufacturing/GMP experience is helpful, but not required.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English. Basic understanding of Spanish is a plus.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an above average command of a wide variety of computer software, such as all Microsoft Office applications and basic QuickBooks.
