Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.
There is a new position open for a qualified Special Education Teacher (SPED) in a great school district located in the Chaplain, VA area for the next school year. Full-time candidates will be considered for this SPED opportunity. We are looking for passion teachers that have experience in schools and working with children who possess mild to moderate disabilities.
SPED Details & Responsibilities:
- Participate in IEP meetings
- Conduct special education evaluations and reevaluations
- Develop individualized teaching methods that are suitable for each student
- Perform a variety of assessments and observations to determine the areas in which the student may need extra or modified educational services
- 8th – 12th caseload
- Full-Time
- 37.5 hours per week, M-F
- Previous pediatric experience needed
- VA SPED License Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education
