About this job

**Summary**

Assures proper control of the parts inventory and related administrative functions.

**Essential Duties**

* Stocks and posts incoming orders.

* Organizes and maintains the parts department in the most efficient layout.

* Establishes and maintains logical locations for all parts and notes location in computer by part number.

* Establishes and maintains a system for aging special order bins.

* Pulls orders for delivery to body shop, making sure all parts are tagged with customer names and job number.

* Assists parts manager in generating stock orders.

* Notifies appropriate parties when special-order parts arrive.

* Serves as back-up for parts manager for inventory functions.

* Updates electronic parts files.

* Provides necessary information to the warranty department to allow prompt filing of parts warranties.

* Reviews files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of excess stock.

* Ensures that credits are received for returned parts.

* Returns parts as needed and removes from inventory after credit is received.

* Returns cores in a timely manner and follows up for receipt of credit.

* Assists in preparing for and performing annual parts inventory.

* Assists in monthly parts returns.

* Assists with parts department telephone coverage.

* Assists counter people with check, insurance and credit card processing when possible.

* Keeps parts area clean and uncluttered.

* Maintains professional appearance.

* Other tasks as assigned.

* Back Up delivery driver when needed.

Hours are Tuesday- Friday 7am-4pm, Saturday 8-2

**Minimum requirements:**

* Maintain accurate records of items shipped and received

**Qualifications:**
