**Summary of Position:**

A successful Casual Driver shall operate motor vehicles to transport personnel, transfer vehicles, and deliver materials; maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, load, unload and check that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned. At a minimum, the position requires familiarity with vehicle operation to include vehicles in excess of 10,000 pounds GVW.

**Essential Functions:**

**In order to perform this job, you must demonstrate, either by training or experience:**

* the ability to work safely, with or without supervision;

* the ability to follow instructions and communicate verbally and in writing;

* the ability to inspect vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order;

* the ability to operate motor vehicles in excess of 10,000 lbs. GVW;

* the ability to secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers;

**Responsibilities:**

* Completion of low level tasks in support of an assigned department/project.

* Receive, organize, file, and maintain documents and/or data for an assigned department/project.

* Create, update, validate and forward various forms of communication to internal and external recipients.

* Read, interpret, and input data in support of an assigned department/project.

* Additional Duties as assigned.

**Qualifications:**

* Prior work related experience.

* Proficient in the use of office hardware and software. (PCs, Tablets, Printers, Copiers, Microsoft, Google, etc.)

* Excellent Customer Service skills and strong English language skills both oral and written.

* Authorized to work in the United States.

* Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.

**Workplace Environment and Physical Demands:**

To be considered for this position, a candidate must possess the ability to opereate automobiles, while using repetitive and/or fine hand movements. Work is performed both inside a garage/warehouse and outside in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and precipitation, and in rugged terrain such as back easements, rural locations and at active construction sites. Periodic lifting and manipulating up to 75 pounds is required. Noise level can range from moderate to loud and from intermediate to constant. There may also be extensive driving and/or long periods away from the home location.
