About this job

We are looking for an experienced Safety Technician for our client in Marston, MO. The safety tech will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing the company’s employee safety at work. The safety technician’s main duty is to ensure that the company complies with and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines to prevent work-related injuries. The Safety Technician organizes, compiles, documents, and reviews the facility's safety operations and functions.


Job Title: Safety Technician

Location: Marston, MO


Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains Company’s safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure onsite OSHA and SDS binders are kept updated quarterly.
  • Performs on-site inspections regarding safety hazards, safe practices, and policy
  • enforcement.
  • Providing necessary training and enforcement of discipline regarding safety in the workplace.
  • Meets with management staff regarding safety problems.
  • Regularly updates the General Manager regarding safety operations, costs, problems, policies, and safety information.
  • Keep all managers informed of any changes with safety/compliance regulations.
  • Maintain accident, incident and near miss investigations and reporting.
  • Identify any corrective or preventative measures needed regarding employee safety.
  • In tandem with other employees, oversee safety-related programs such as Forklift Safety, Waste Disposal, Respiratory, Confined Space, COVID-19, etc.
  • Continue to create and make progress towards safety culture throughout the facility.
  • Implement Safety Committee.

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate.
  • Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, AED, NFPA 70e, and OSHA 10 or 30 preferred.

Experience:

  • A min of 1 years of experience is preferred for this position.
  • Previous safety-related experience in an industrial setting.
