Job Description:
The Purchasing Assistant is primarily responsible for the timely and accurate updates of outstanding purchase orders for the Supplies segment of the company.
The duties of a purchasing assistant include but are not limited to: calling vendors and updating Purchase Orders with information regarding any discrepancies, or the status, of the purchase order or line items; reviewing and confirming purchase orders with information from emailed acknowledgement; reviewing vendor invoices for accuracy and turning in to Accounting for processing.
Qualifications:
- Microsoft Excel knowledge required
- Purchasing - 1 year experience required
- A/R or A/P that is translated to this Environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Professional and punctual
- Must be detailed oriented
- Organized
- Has the ability to multitask
