Conducts clinics as indicated. Works under the direction of the Senior Community Nursing Supervisor. The incumbent may rotate to other clinics within the DOH-Lake. Interviews and counsels' clients, obtains pertinent medical history, assesses client's health status, immunization status, evaluates needs and performs necessary clinical testing. Assists provider. Provides exit interviews to assure continuity of care. Educates clients in specific health needs, medications, and vaccines. Conducts nurse clinic under the direction of the clinical provider. Administers immunizations, medications, and treatments within the established CHD protocols. Inputs in Fl Shots as vaccines are given and ensures input into EMS. Responsible every day to examine and assure compliance with HMS and Fl Shots and the inventory corresponds at 100%. Maintains knowledge of immunizations for adults, travel, and children. Ensures that all medications and inventory logs are at 100%, on a daily basis. Other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Customer Service, Computer Programs-Data Entry, Use of Excel, Word, Outlook, use of Fax, and Copier. Qualifications: Minimum - * Willing to work before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. This may include working in a special needs or Red Cross shelter, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural. * Current Florida Registered Nursing License or a multi-state Registered Nursing License from another compact state.
