Salary:

Knickerbocker Group is seeking a dedicated Construction Project Coordinator (PC). A KG PC, under the supervision of our Senior Construction Project Manager & Operations Leader, supports the daily management, coordination, and successful completion of day-to-day project tasks to construct projects on time, within budget and according to KG standards. They frequently interact with other project team members, subcontractors, vendors, and clients and are responsible for ensuring that services are being delivered to the highest level to ensure client satisfaction.

This is an office-based position located in the beautiful coastal town of Boothbay, ME.

 

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Providing administrative support to the Construction Project Management team by assisting as needed with pre-construction activities, project documentation, coordination, and communication, as well as budgeting, contracts, permitting, and safety.

  • Preconstruction/Estimating:
    • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
    • Prepare Welcome to KG Construction documents for new projects.
    • Assist Project Manager in performing material quantity calculations.
    • Assist the Project Manager in the preparation of bid packages, issue bid packages to subcontractors and vendors, track the timely receipt of subcontractor & vendor proposals.
    • Assist Project Manager in soliciting, receiving, and evaluating vendor and subcontractor bids.
    • Draft owner and subcontractor construction contracts.
    • Assist in obtaining local construction permits and ensuring that subcontractors obtain their permits.
    • Track and maintain new and existing subcontractor and vendor insurances and required documentation.
  • Project Documentation & Communication:
    • Setup, organize, and maintain job folders, ERP, and Procore with associated documents for assigned projects.
    • Assist the Project Manager in the creation and monitoring of project schedule.
    • Prepare for, attend, and document project team and client meetings.
    • Assist Project Manager in receiving, preparing, and distributing information on all project changes in a timely manner.
    • Create client weekly progress reports.
    • Review, track, and distribute RFIs and submittals.
    • Assist in maintaining project files and perform project closeout activities.
  • Contract, Permitting, Safety, and Budget Management:
    • Assist Project Manager and Site Manager with the procurement of job specific materials.
    • Assist in managing expenses for reconciliation.
    • Maintain complete knowledge of general contract and subcontract documents and budgets.
    • Visit job site(s) to observe and evaluate progress, document conditions, costs, and potential exposures.

 

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Associate degree in a construction management related field, preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably working on high-end residential projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required; experience with Microsoft Project, Procore, and Acumatica preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction process and competent in reading and interpreting construction drawings/ sketches/ shop drawings/ specifications/ product data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated; works well under pressure; able to work with minimal instruction for routine tasks.
  • Ability to anticipate needs and be resourceful and proactive in resolving issues.
  • Valid driver’s license.
