Compensation: $110,000 - $115,000 Per Year + Bonus Opportunities

Position Summary:  

  • As a Clinical Psychologist you will conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of geriatric residents in nursing homes and assisted living facilities to identify their unique needs, preferences, and psychosocial challenges
  • Collaborate closely with residents, their families, and interdisciplinary care teams to develop individualized care plans that address social, emotional, and mental health concerns effectively
  • The Clinical Psychologist Counselor will provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, counseling, and support services to residents facing various mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, grief, and adjustment disorders
  • Advocate for the rights and dignity of geriatric residents, ensuring access to appropriate community resources, social services, and supportive care options
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment within long-term care facilities, promoting resident engagement, socialization, and emotional well-being
  • The Clinical Psychologist will document assessment findings, treatment plans, and interventions accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies
  • Collaborate effectively with facility staff, including nurses, physicians, and administrators, to coordinate long term care plans, address resident needs, and optimize treatment outcomes

Requirements:

  • Clinical Psychologist (Ph.D or Psy.D) in the state in which you applied (OH, PA, WV, VA, IN)
  • Past counseling experience - Long Term Care experience preferred
  • Create a climate of patient-centered care to include confidentiality, empathy, respect, and collaboration
  • Develop individualized Treatment Plans based on information collected during initial screenings/ evaluations and the ongoing assessment of needs, strengths, preferences, and goals
  • A strong work ethic, attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and excellent empathy
  • Familiarity with the geriatric population and long-care settings is a plus
  • Candidates must have excellent skills in diagnostic assessment and counseling and desire to work in a fast-paced team environment
