Lead Service Line Inspection Technician

We are seeking a dynamic self-starter to join our Engineering group as a Lead Service Line Inspection Technician to join our Engineering group in our Blacksburg office.  This position will be responsible for conducting door to door surveys of residential properties with potential lead service lines. The role with also be responsible for the following: 

• Visually locate and document service line material(s) at point(s) of entry into residence.
• Input geolocational data into data app collector as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including engineers, project managers, and
  supervisors, regarding inspection results and project progress.

The ideal candidate will be able to adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.  The ideal candidate will also be able to interact well with internal and external stakeholders, and will need to be comfortable using remote technologies such as a smart phone, data pad, or tablet. 

This position is a hybrid position, with most of the work being performed in the field in the Chilhowie/Marion area.  There will likely be occasional need to report to the office. This position reports directly to our Vice President of Engineering who is based in Blacksburg, Virginia.
