DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: EVS Attendant JOB CODE: # 330-338

REPORTS TO: EVS Supervisor


TASKS:

Public Area employees are responsible for the cleanliness of the entire casino, fort and out lying areas. The supervisor will assign various areas and duties to each porter prior to their shift. Porters will be responsible for completing all designated task during their shift. You will be required to assist in other areas while an employee in that area is on break or not available. Listed below are some of the various areas and the duties required for these areas.

PUBLIC RESTROOMS:

Empty trash receptacles

Clean urinals / screens.

Clean toilets.

Clean stall partitions / walls.

Clean sink and vanity especially fixtures.

Refill soap dispensers.

Clean floors.

Clean mirrors.

Clean light fixtures / lamps.

Clean ceiling / wall vents / high hats.

Clean pipes / hardware.

Clean ashtrays / ash urns.

Clean pictures and frames.

Clean artifacts.

Clean plants / planters.

Clean door / door frames.

Clean baseboards / ledges.

All bathroom fixtures polished to a shine.

FRONT ENTRANCE:

Pick up trash and debris around entrance.

Pick up glassware around front entrance.

Clean glass doors as required.

Empty all trash.

Check for slipping hazards.

HALLWAYS:

Vacuum hall and place a “caution” sign by cord to prevent tripping hazard.

Remove scuff marks and wipe down baseboards and ledges in hallways.

Sweep and mop marble floors.

Use “wet floor” signs when mopping tile.

ELEVATORS:

Clean all brass surfaces and fixtures.

Clean the elevator track.

Damp mop floors after sweeping away all debris.

Strip and wax floor as scheduled.

Remove fingerprints from the elevator walls.

Dust the ceiling area and light fixtures.

LIGHT FIXTURES AND LAMPS:

Clean and wipe all light fixtures according to special instructions.

Dust all bulbs with a dry cloth. (Note: hot bulb will break if wiped with wet cloth)

Remove all dust, spots and fingerprints; on lamps and light switches.

VENTS:

Using a clean, soft cloth dampened, remove dust and prints. Wipe until it is dry.

Report any malfunctions or broken equipment to your supervisor.

Vacuum vents with mini vacuum.

WINDOWS:

Spray or wipe the solution over the surface to be cleaned. Start at the top and work down.

Take a squeegee and start at the top of the window, bring down the surface of the glass to the bottom removing solution as you go.

Wipe squeegee after each stroke.

With a clean, dry cloth, remove any leftover cleaning solution from the edges of the window.

Be sure to remove any streaks and spots.

Use glass cleaner to wipe down the window frame.

TOILETS & URINALS:

Use all purpose cleaner and rags.

Squirt under rim of bowl and let stand a few minutes.

Starting under the rim, swab the inside of the toilet, being careful not to splash any chemicals on yourself or in your eyes.

Wipe down all hardware.

Clean behind the toilet and the tank top.

Thoroughly clean and dry the outside of the toilet.

Flush until water in bowl is clean and to ensure it functions properly.

Clean floor behind and around toilet to keep odor away.
