Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8-hours a day, but hours will vary due to travel. Some days the schedule may start at 9 AM, other days it may not start until 11 AM, so also needing flexibility with working later if the day also starts later, etc.
Patient Volume:
1,300 students to be served throughout the villages (Well Child examinations) from preschool up to 18 years old mostly
Procedures:
- They will be seeing 10-30 students a day (approx. 1,300 students), all exams will take place in the school, and will not expect any trauma, just well-exams and will be staying in the schools as their lodging for each village they are traveling to
- Well child exams for student and mainly will be seeing preschool and up
- While traveling outside of Bethel, provider will be in rural Alaska, staying in schools. They will be sleeping on cots and preparing all of their own dry food and will also be traveling by plane to each village
- This position will need someone who is flexible, okay with all the travel to other villages, comfortable doing well child exams and seeing kids up to 18 in schools, and with it being very rural
- Very hectic travel from Bethel, 3 to 5 days a week, then charting, sleeping on floor/airbags at school gyms etc.

Relevant Experience/Skill Set Needed:
Comfortable working in RURAL areas, especially Alaska, and needing to be very comfortable travel to remote villages and flexible with the schedule
Other additional pertinent information:
They will be traveling, generally, in a 100 mile radius – Yukon Village, YK Delta Villages, Coastal Villages (about 30 remote villages around Southwestern AK)
