Real Estate Transactions Associate

• The Law firm office seeks a real estate associate with 5 to 10 years of real estate transactional experience.
• Desired candidate will have strong experience in the following areas: residential buy-sells, financings, acquisitions/dispositions, joint ventures, real estate funds, leasing and/or development.
• Strong academics are required and prior experience at a regional or national law firm or an outstanding local firm is preferred.
• Must be a member of the New York State Bar.

Work will include review, drafting and, where appropriate, negotiating letters of intent, purchase and sale agreements, leases and subleases and financing documents, joint venture arrangements, and real estate fund documentation; handling deal closings; performing title work and other due diligence; and other aspects of transactional real estate work.

Candidate will be given significant transactional responsibilities and client contact right away and will work closely with shareholders and senior associates who will devote substantial time and energy to training and mentoring, as well as providing exposure and counseling on the client development process.

Candidate must be eager and motivated with the desire to be part of a team working on large complex transactions locally and nationally.
