What You'll Need:

  • Completion of formal radiological technologist training in an AMA approved training program.
  • ARRT Registered
  • MRI preferred, but not required.
  • Thorough knowledge of radiological equipment techniques and procedures
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in the field of Computerized Tomography, with CT certification.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, correspondence, and/or policy and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, "customers", including the public.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to apply and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

What You'll Do:

  • Following prescribed techniques in performing procedures such as adjusting equipment; determining proper voltage, current and desired time; arranges immobilization and support devices; adjusts lead shielding; and selects proper film.
  • Cleaning x-ray room and equipment daily.
  • Performing call assignments as needed.
  • Performing quality control tasks and maintains quality control reports as required, specific to the procedures performed.
  • Performing general office duties such as scheduling, answering phones, filing, and scheduling of incoming patients, as necessary.
  • Performing diagnostic testing and general maintenance on equipment.
  • Moving equipment into specified position, preparing room, contrast material, and other materials needed to perform procedures as needed.
  • Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patient and staff.
