Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required.

• 3 months of experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Maine license or compact license in hand at the time of application.

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Candidates must live at least 90 miles away from this facility in order to be considered a traveler when applying for this role.

• COVID vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for onboarding. Medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Maine Medical Center requires all candidates to have at least 1 year of Facility Trauma Level 1 experience to be considered.

48 Guaranteed Hours preferable, 36 Guaranteed Hours acceptable

26 weeks preferable, 13 weeks acceptable

Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36

Weekend Hours: 36

Experience with med surg tele

Preferred: Cardiac Telemetry, post cardiac surgery, chest tubes, temporary pacemakers, Familiar with Dilt, amio, nitro, heparin.

Preferred Skillset:

1) Experience: cardiac surgery (CABG/valve replacement/post aortic dissection repair), thoracic surgery (VATS, wedge resection, lobectomy), comfort with chest tubes, temporary epicardial pacemakers. Post-TAVR patient.

2) Medical treatment Cardiology: Heart Failure, Pulmonary Hypertension. Familiar with Amio, insulin, dobutamine, nitro, milrinone, diltiazem

3) Surgical/trauma/tele

Every to every other weekend

Float Requirements: First to float, will float to other med/surg units as needed.

Type of Patients on Unit: cardiac telemetry, post cardiac and thoracic surgeries.

Any unacceptable attire: Open toe shoes. T-shirts with logos.
